Claudia’s Cosmetic Dental Transformation – Update 3
Cosmetic dental treatments describe any work done to improve the smile and appearance of teeth. Treatments can include teeth whitening dentistry, Invisalign teeth straightening, dental veneers and crowns and replacing missing teeth. Another term we use often is restorative dentistry. This term refers to any treatment done to restore or replace damaged teeth. This kind of treatment isn’t always done to improve the appearance of teeth (although this is usually improved as well), but also to improve the functionality and overall lifespan of the teeth. Dentistry is often referred to as a combination of art and science, as when we treat damaged teeth, we restore form, function and appearance all at the same time. Claudia has now progressed significantly in her cosmetic dental transformation. It’s been several months since we last heard from Claudia, but as you can see from her latest video (watch it here), there have been HUGE changes in her teeth.
Here’s a summary of Claudia’s third video update:
– yes, the gap between her teeth (when she had a tooth removed), has fully closed
– she lost her aligner! Yes! It happens to the best of us!
– the process to get an extra aligner ordered is easy and doesn’t take long
– it’s best to let your dentist know as soon as you can
– go back to wearing your previous aligner (this is why we don’t recommend throwing out any of your old aligners!
– try not to lose any! As it will delay your treatment while you wait to receive a replacement
– she is also wearing an elastic on one side of her mouth to improve her cross bite (where her teeth are biting together the opposite way) daytime and night-time
-not everyone needs elastics
