Team DQ reviews the new Hismile PAP+ teeth whitening strips
Hismile is back again with more teeth whitening products. This time its teeth whitening strips with their PAP+ formula. These teeth whitening strips promise to be ‘sensitivity-free’ as they don’t contain the usual teeth whitening ingredient peroxide.
The big question is whether they are effective at whitening teeth or not? We weren’t all that impressed with the other viral offering from Hismile which we reviewed recently, their purple colour corrector. You can read our review of this product here.

Hismile PAP+ whitening strips. Comes in a pack with 7 individual treatments.
INGREDIENTS:
Glycerin, Aqua/Water, PVP, Ethylcellulose, Alcohol, Sodium Polyacrylate, Phthalimidoperoxycaproic Acid (PAP), Xylitol, Potassium Citrate, Hydroxyapatite, Rebaudioside A, Menthol, Sodium Citrate, Xanthan Gum, PVM/MA Copolymer, C12-15 Pareth-3.
COST:
$21 (on sale at the moment on the Hismile website, usual price is $35.)
EASE OF USE:
The strips were really quick and easy to apply, they were very thin and completely see-through so barely visible. They were also fine to speak with when on the teeth, so extremely easy to multi-task whilst whitening your teeth at the same time.
TASTE:
The taste was very pleasant.

VERDICT:
As you can see from our quick video below, the PAP+ whitening strips did have a whitening effect, but unfortunately we found that it didn’t last longer than for that day. This product would be good if you wanted to do a quick whiten before a special event, for example. Unfortunately it just didn’t produce long term results similar to what you would find from using a conventional peroxide teeth whitening product.
The product itself is also very expensive for the results that are achieved. We feel that there are other more effective whitening products out there that represent better value for money.
