Hismile flavoured toothpaste review
Flavoured and aesthetically pleasing toothpastes have become very popular recently. Are they as good as the ‘normal’ stuff you get from the shops? Or are they all looks but no substance? Our Claremont dental team recently reviewed popular flavoured toothpastes from Hismile. We have reviewed several Hismile products so far, including their teeth whitening products, you can read our review here.
DETAILS:
Hismile Flavoured Toothpaste. We tried out the watermelon and peach flavours. There are 10 flavours available in total, the others are grape, strawberry, vanilla, mango, coconut whip, red velvet, mint and banana.
Ingredients: Aqua (Water), Sorbitol, Hydrated Silica, Xylitol, Glycerin, Disodium Phosphate, Flavour (Aroma), Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate, Xanthan Gum, Cellulose Gum, Tetrapotassium Pyrophosphate, Caprylyl Glycol, Benzyl Alcohol, Sucralose, Menthol, Sodium Fluoride, Sodium Gluconate, Pentylene Glycol, Zinc Lactate, Methyl Diisopropyl Propionamide, Benzoic Acid.
Contains: Sodium fluoride 0.243% W/W (equivalent of 1100ppm of fluoride)

EASE OF USE:
Easy to use and functional packaging.
TASTE:
We preferred peach flavour over the watermelon, just personal preference. There is still a slightly minty taste to the toothpastes.

VERDICT:
Overall, we really like this product. It is a bit more expensive than most other toothpastes on the market, but there are regular sales. They are also stocked at other retailers such as Coles, most pharmacies, Sephora and Amazon.
We feel this product would be great for those who are looking for an SLS-free toothpaste and who don’t like strong minty flavours.
We do like that this product promotes healthy toothbrushing habits, and makes the idea of brushing fun and fresh due to the variety of flavours and colourful packaging.
The product contains benzoic acid which has an anti-microbial action in the mouth. It also contains fluoride to prevent tooth decay. The concentration of fluoride is however, lower than that found in most equivalent adult toothpastes. The toothpaste is therefore safe to use for children over 6 years of age.
