dental veneers

What are dental veneers?

Veneers are facings placed on the front surfaces of teeth in order to correct the appearance of the teeth. Veneers are commonly placed to correct crooked, malaligned or gapped teeth. They are also very effective in disguising discoloured or darkened teeth. Contact our team of qualified dentists for single or multiple restorations.

Veneer cost

Dental veneer cost ranges from $299-$995. The price is dependent on the material and type of veneer that is recommended by the dentist or chosen by the patient.

Composite veneers are more affordable ($299 per tooth). They are placed directly on the tooth and can be completed on the same day. However, they can get stained and are generally recommended as a short-term solution,

Porcelain veneers are more expensive ($995 per tooth). They look more natural, are stronger and don’t get stained. They can either be made on the same day using CEREC technology or be outsourced to a technician. This is decided on a case-by-case basis.

Composite veneers

Composite veneers can be placed on the teeth on the same day. Composite resin, also known as tooth-coloured filling material, is placed on the teeth to correct their appearance. This type of veneer generally lasts 5-6 years. It is easy to make customised adjustments, but the material can stain and chip easily.

Porcelain veneers

Porcelain veneers are glued onto teeth. They can achieve an excellent aesthetic result whilst still looking very natural.

E.max, a lithium disilicate porcelain material, represents a major breakthrough in restorative and cosmetic dentistry. One reason behind this is a combination of its high aesthetics and superior strength. The all-ceramic dental crowns and restorations made from E.max are natural-looking and contain no metal.

Depending on the correction you want to make, your dentist will work with you to select the best option whether it be crowns, veneers, a bridge or implants.
